2018年第90届奥斯卡金像奖（90th Academy Awards）在好莱坞杜比剧院登场，本届奥斯卡由美国脱口秀主持人吉米金默Jimmy Kimmel再度担当主持重任。
获得13项提名的《水底情深》，最后抱回了最佳影片、最佳导演、最佳美术设计和最佳原创配乐等4项大奖，成为本届的大赢家，而8项入围的《敦克尔克大行动》，赢得了最佳电影剪辑、最佳音效剪辑和最佳混音等3大奖。
本届奥斯卡影帝和影后，则是由今年金球奖新科戏剧类最佳男女主角《最黑暗的时刻》（Darkest Hour）盖瑞欧德曼（Gary Oldman）和《意外》（Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri）法兰西丝麦朵曼（Frances McDormand）分别拿下，而最佳男女配角奖的部分，同样由风光拿下金球奖最佳男女配角奖的山姆洛克威尔（Sam Rockwell）和爱莉森珍妮（Allison Janney）再度夺得，山姆洛克威尔，在《意外》中从暴力份子变成用脑职人，精湛的诠释让他拿下了从影39年来的首个奥斯卡最佳男配角。
《最黑暗的时刻》成功将盖瑞欧德曼变脸丘吉尔，夺下最佳化妆及发型设计，而对服装设计师创作历程有钜细弥遗刻画的《霓裳魅影》，剧中众多赏心悦目的服装，也不负众望赢得了最佳服装设计奖。
