2018年第90届奥斯卡金像奖（The Academy Awards）入围名单揭晓，《水底情深》（The Shape of Water）以13项提名，成为今年入围奖项最多的电影，而由克里斯多夫诺兰（Christopher Nolan）执导的《敦克尔克大行动》（Dunkirk），则是以8项提名居次，入围7项的《意外》（Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri）名列第三。
本届金球奖（Golden Globe Awards）音乐及喜剧类影后莎柔丝罗南（Saoirse Ronan）和戏剧类影后法兰西丝麦朵曼（Frances McDormand）再度凭著《淑女鸟》（Lady Bird）和《意外》（Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri）获得奥斯卡最佳女主角奖的提名，这两位新科影后将与第21度入围、创下影史和她个人纪录的“梅姨”梅莉史翠普（Meryl Streep）以及首度入围的“小丑女”玛格罗比（Margot Robbie）与莎莉霍金斯（Sally Hawkins），共同角逐影后宝座。
今年奥斯卡最佳外语片角逐参赛国家多达92个，创下历年纪录，最终入围的5强外语片，包括俄罗斯《当爱不见了》（Loveless）、智利《不思议女人》（A Fantastic Woman）、瑞典《抓狂美术馆》（The Square）、匈牙利《梦鹿情谜》（On Body and Soul），以及黎巴嫩电影《你只欠我一个道歉》（The Insult），全数出自欧洲三大影展的获奖电影，其中《当爱不见了》让俄国名导安德烈萨金塞夫（Andrey Zvyagintsev）继《缠绕之蛇》（Leviathan）后再次获得提名，其他国导演则都是第一次获得提名；《你只欠我一个道歉》更打破黎巴嫩影史纪录，成为该国第一部提名奥斯卡的电影；而柏林影展金熊奖得主、欧洲电影奖影后封后之作《梦鹿情谜》，则是这个奖项中唯一由女性导演执导的作品。
奥斯卡颁奖典礼预计于台北时间3月5日在美国洛杉矶杜比剧院（The Dolby Theater）举行，今年的典礼主持人由脱口秀主持人吉米基墨（Jimmy Kimmel）再度连任。
