美国联准会将于本周3召开利率会议，预期在会议后宣布降息1码，但美国总统川普对于预期降息幅度，仍不满意，稍早又在推特上批评联准会降息太少，让美国难以与中国、欧盟竞争。
川普先是在推特上发文，表示中国和欧盟会更大幅度降息，来让资金流入他们的系统中，让他们生产商更容易销售商品，而同时在美国通膨率过低，“我们的联准会什么都不做，或是相比之下做的太少了，这太糟糕了！”
The E.U. and China will further lower interest rates and pump money into their systems, making it much easier for their manufacturers to sell product. In the meantime, and with very low inflation, our Fed does nothing - and probably will do very little by comparison. Too bad!

接着川普又把矛头指向联准会的升息循环，批评联准会“升太早”又“升太多”，量化紧缩政策是一大错误。川普在推文中写道，美国正和其他国家竞争，例如中国、欧盟都了解如何与美国竞争，联准会过去有太多错误决策，而今小幅度的降息并不够，但仍坚信美国可以在竞争中胜出。

市场预期联准会本月将宣布降息1码，以应对贸易战和全球经济放缓的局势，届时如真的降息，将会是2008年以来首度降息，而上星期5美国公布第2季GDP，年增率2.1%低于Q1的3.1%，让降息的可能性继续增加。此外，前Fed主席叶伦日前也表态，支持降息1码。
