美国总统川普7日推文向联准会喊话，要求再降息3次（Three more Central Banks cut rate），还说美国的问题不在中国，而是联准会太快缩紧银根，又拒绝认错。为今之计，联准会必须加快和加大降息幅度。
川普还说，美国一定会赢得与中国的贸易战，假如联准会听懂他的话，美国会赢得更轻松，不会再让其他国家占便宜。
